This monument is Not visible from the road. It is located at N 34° 54.360  W 85° 15.683. Map it

Parking is available on LaFayette Road near  N 34° 54.252  W 85° 15.6876 .
Pull on west side of LaFayette Road.

Marker is on LaFayette Road 0.2 miles north of Viniard-Alexander Road, on the right when traveling north. This standard Indiana regimental marker, built in 1898, consists of a 4' x 4' x 4'8" high rock-faced oolitic stone block with a peaked top and a 12" x 18" bronze plaque affixed to its front. It marker the units location on September 19, at 3:00 pm.
