This monument is Not visible from the road. It is located at N 34° 55.0979  W 85° 14.8069. Map it

Parking is available on Brotherton Road near  N 34° 55.2299  W 85° 14.9087 .


To reach this monument:
The marker is located in the woods at the south west corner of Brock’s Field. A path leads from the blue plaque for Turchin's Brigade (USA) to the marker.

This is a standard Tennessee marker built in 1898. It is 1'6" wide x 1' deep x 3' high; the marker is a rectangular block of smooth-faced Tennessee gray marble inscribed on the front. It markers the units location on September 19, 1863 at 1:30 pm.
