Comments about this monument:
This is a standard shell monument designating a headquarters. The monument is a 6'2" square at base and 6' high consists of a pyramid of cannonballs set in cement & painted black, resting on a molded limestone base. Attached to base is a painted metal plaque identifying the HQ site. Base of pyramid is made up of artillery shells: 8 wide X 8 deep. It has 8 layers. This monument is located in the City of LaFayette, GA.
