Comments about this monument:
The 22nd Indiana monument is a granite commemorative marker. The marker is tall with a pointed top, in the center is text detailing the brigade, division and Corp the 22nd was part of. Centered above the text is the State of Indiana seal. A plaque on the rear of the monument describes the actions of the 22nd on September 20, 1863. The marker is mounted upon a two-block base of unfinished granite. A canteen and cartridge pouch are depicted just above the regiments name.
